"Roaming Shadows of the
Jungle: Exploring the World
of Tigers"

In dense jungles, an iconic presence emerges

– the tiger. Adorned in vibrant orange with
distinctive black stripes, tigers command
both grace and power. Revered across
cultures, they move in silence and roar with
authority, embodying a mysterious duality.
Join us to delve into their stories, habitats,
behaviors, and their pivotal role in
preserving our ecosystem's balance.

Decline in the Tigers
Population
• The combination of grace, strength, agility and enormous
power has earned the Tiger its pride of place as the
National Animal of India. The Royal Bengal Tiger is the
pride of our nation and its decreasing population is a
major concern for us. There are a lot of reasons for this
decrease in the number of Tigers.

• Tiger population has declined in numbers because of

Habitat loss. Urbanization and fragmentation in tiger
corridors are the major reasons for their decrease. The
forests are cut, highways and cities are built on the so
called forest lands which cut the natural corridors for the
Tigers thus exposing them.
The Impact of
Poaching on
Endangered Species
Species Threat: Poaching endangers elephants, rhinos,
and tigers for valuable parts, causing rapid declines and
extinction risks.
Ecosystem Disruption: Poaching disrupts ecosystems,
like elephants affecting forests and biodiversity through
seed dispersal.
Combatting Poaching: Stricter enforcement, community
support, and education work to protect species and
habitats.
Climate Change
and Tiger
Populations
Impact of Climate Change on Tiger Habitats
Rising temperatures and changes in
precipitation patterns are causing significant
changes in the habitats of tigers, which rely
on specific forest ecosystems to survive.
Correlation Between Temperature and Tiger
Populations
Studies have shown a correlation between
rising temperatures and declining tiger
populations, as their habitats become more
fragmented and their prey species decline.
Protecting Tigers from
Climate Change
• Habitat Protection -Protecting tiger habitats from
deforestation and other human activities can help
mitigate the effects of climate change on the
species.

• Reducing Carbon Emissions -Reducing carbon

emissions can help slow the pace of climate change
and reduce its impact on tiger habitats.
• Conservation Efforts -Conservation efforts such as
anti-poaching measures and captive breeding
programs can help protect tigers from the effects of
climate change.
