The mid-20th century witnessed the birth of the term "robotics"

thanks to science fiction writer Isaac Asimov. His stories not only The Renaissance and Automaton Artistry
popularized the concept of robots but also introduced the Three
Laws of Robotics, influencing the ethical considerations
surrounding artificial intelligence.
In the early 1960s, the world saw the first industrial robot,
Unimate, enter the scene. Developed by George Devol and Joseph
Engelberger, Unimate revolutionized manufacturing by
performing tasks deemed dangerous or tedious for human
workers. This marked the beginning of a new era – the Industrial
Revolution 2.0.
