What to do during an Emergency
ASSEMBLY AREA
Do not panic.
STOP all work activities
Evacuate the facility to nearest Assembly area
Watch for the wind direction during evacuation
Every person gathered in the evacuation area should log his name &
badge number.
Perform Headcount (by supervisor); report any missing persons to
area supervisor
Remain at assembly point until ALL CLEAR sounds or until instructed
by plant authorities
After hearing “all-clear” alarm, report to the Operations Supervisor /
Work Permit Issuer

Emergency Response Fire Spreading
A fire is a chemical
reaction involves burning
of a combustible materials
(rapid oxidation-rust).

We use the term “PASS” when using a fire extinguisher:
◦ P : Pull the safety pin.
◦ A : Aim the nozzle at the base of the fire.
◦ S : Squeeze the trigger.
◦ S : Sweep the nozzle from side to side, ensuring the entire fire
area is covered
To be able to use fire equipment safely, you must attend the
Basic Fire Control course.
Ensure you know where your fire equipment is stored and refer
to the Safety Bulletin Board for which type of fire equipment to
use on which type of fire.

Purpose & Scope
Purpose
To ensure the safety of all Contractor Personnel while driving vehicles by promoting
safe driving behavior.
Scope
Applies to contractors using company or private vehicles.

Responsibilities
Vehicle driver/Truck operator:
1. Shall obey to all Saudi Aramco and Government traffic rules & regulations and drive
defensively at all times within and outside Saudi Aramco Facilities.
2. Report near misses & unsafe driving behaviors to his supervisor.
3. Inspect assigned vehicle before operating as per DIP course requirement.
4. Maintain valid driver improvement refresher course (E-DIR) every three years.
5. Report any vehicle defects and near misses or incidents while driving.
6. Sign the Safe Driving Safety Commitment Form and communicate vehicle safety
responsibilities.

Standards:
• Drivers shall not operate vehicle without current license and DIP/DIRC.
• Drivers shall perform a 360 degree walk-around before getting into the vehicle.
• Drivers shall not operate vehicles with invalid or out of date safety inspection sticker.
• Drivers shall inspect the vehicle’s safety equipment (i.e. spare tire, warning triangle,
fire extinguisher) before using the vehicle.
• Drivers must be medically and physically FIT to operator vehicles/trucks.
• No off-road driving without current off-road training.
