• To increase evaporation and cooling of the
skin, use general ventilation or fans for spot
cooling
• Work demands should be made lighter by
taking frequent breaks in a cooler area,
completing them over a longer time period,
and setting the work pace with the least heat-
tolerant worker in mind.
• Heavy workloads should be scheduled during
cooler times of the day (i.e., early morning).
• A light, cool lunch is recommended during hot
days, instead of a heavy meal. Heavy meals
can reduce your ability to release heat because
blood flow is redirected to the stomach instead
of to the skin for cooling.
• Proper PPE (i.e., hard hat, safety glasses,
safety shoes, hearing protection, heat resistant
gloves, cover all shall be provided prior to
begin work.
Placement/Movement Burns
• Working area shall be covered with required

• Driver shall comply with all applicable
laws.
• Drivers shall observe speeds in
accordance with posted speed limits and
driving conditions.
• Use or being under influence of
intoxicants or medications which cause
impairment while operating a vehicle is
prohibited.
• Using of cell phone, eating, or drinking is
prohibited.
• Once you get in the vehicle, seat belts
shall be fastened. It’s the responsibility of
driver to ensure that passengers have put
the seat belt.
• Avoid driving in heavy rain or fog. If
driving conditions are particularly bad,
postpone your trip until weather gets clear.
• Move more slowly and carefully.
• Wear appropriate rain gear.
• Wear appropriate footwear.
• Use proper hand protection.
• Ensure that you can see.
• Make sure that you can be seen.
• All debris must be well signaled the area.
