United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations (UNDPKO), New York, USA Conducted an analytic study on 10 countries (Angola, Belarus, Mexico, Mongolia, Mozambique, Peru, Romania, Serbia, Thailand and Turkey) to know what influences the decision of a country to contribute for UN peacekeeping missions, and why there is a crisis in peacekeeping. Developed a general framework of indicators and factors for UNDPKO to determine the decision of a country to contribute. Field Research: Conflict Assessment Jun 09-Jul 09 International Solutions Group (ISG, Amman, Jordan) Conducted a Conflict Assessment supported by Center for International Conflict Resolution (CICR) at Columbia University and ISG at Jordan & developed a detailed, in-depth i) understanding of the social tensions and conflict dynamics, factors, triggers and peace capacities in Jordan, ii) recommendations for national & intl organizations to work in a conflict-sensitive manner for the Palestinian & Iraqi communities affected by natural and man-made disasters. The research was qualitative in nature and relied heavily on primary data through 36 interviews and 14 focus groups including a range of actors/respondents.
