Plimmerton volunteers honoured

On International Volunteer day two Plimmerton Red Cross workers were honoured. Mary Casey and Marion James were among the two dozen volunteers present at the ceremony. Mary has been involved in the Red Cross for 50 years organising blood donations, meals on wheels and knitting blankets for refugees. And, in our recent fire station planting exercise, Mary not only arrived with baking for the troops but rolled up her sleeves and dried all the dishes. Mary, you are a real Christmas star!
