The U.S. Embassy in Nicosia has a full-time opening (40 hours a week) for a Warehouse and Property Operations Manager position in the General Services Section. Applicants must have the required work and residency permits to be eligible for consideration. Main responsibility: Incumbent has the overall responsibility for and supervises the expendable and non-expendable supply operations for the embassy, including the operation of the Embassy Warehouse. He supervises an ILMS and Expendable Supplies Clerk, a Receiving Clerk, a Warehouse Coordinator and a Truck Driver/Warehouseman, as well as summer hires, occasional day laborers and contractors. Fully responsible for the smooth running of the Accounts Department. Preparation of monthly Financial Managements reports. Preparation of Profitability and production costing reports for the items manufactured by the company. Posting transactions into the Accounting system. Bank reconciliations. Preparation and payment of creditors, VAT, Social Insurance contributions and Government taxes. Preparation and submission of Intrastat reports. Preparation and payment of monthly staff payroll. Maintaining accounts of the Companys Provident Fund. Control of cash expenses and incoming cash from clients Exerting Internal Controls. Negotiation and renewal of all Company Insurance policies. Daily back up of the accounting system and its data. Various administrative duties.
Skills
Leadership qualities. Ability to operate fast and efficiently Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good communication with the management and the external auditors.
Professional qualification or University degree in one of the following: ICAEW, ACCA, CPA, B.A in Accounting, CAP, CAT or other relevant. Computer literate Hands on experience with computerized accounting systems, use of Windows and MS Office. Knowledge of the Accounting Software "SAP Business One" will be considered as an additional advantage. At least five years experience in a similar position and good knowledge of the English and Greek language.
