Halfway there...
Hello everyone! I hope your summer is
pleasantly winding itself down. School has
started, cooler weather is on it s way, and I
nd myself halfway through my furlough!
Visiting friends from Papua
I know. I feel just as shocked. These past three
New Guinea in North Carolina!
months have been full of hanging out with
family and friends I haven t seen for the past
two years, trips from Dallas, to Houston, to North Carolina, and sharing the work
God is doing in Papua New Guinea. And there is only more to come in the next
three months!

Seeing family and friends and sharing about PNG has been wonderful and I m thankful for
this time, but as January approaches, my heart aches more and more to return to PNG
and continue the work God has for me there. Supporting Bible translation through
teaching and ministering to the youth there is what God has called me to do and I am
anxious to return!
On the next page there is a vast amount of information (stats and numbers! I teach
math...) on how I am doing nancially, how you can help, and specic needs that I have. But
rst, I want to highlight an incredible story from a Papua New Guinea translation project
that some of my friends and parents of one of my students are a part of...

AROP:
Sacrice, Tragedy, Transformation
Recently, Wyclie produced a short lm about a translation project in Papua New Guinea.
I watched it and was moved to tears. It was an amazing reminder to me the reason I am
in Papua New Guinea, the work that was started before I was even born, the work that
continues to be done today, and most
importantly, how big our God is and how He can
take tragedy and use it to further His kingdom.
The story centers around a missionary couple and
their journey in the translation project, which then
later includes some of my friends. Please click on
the picture to watch this incredible journey.

Stats and Numbers!

Alright ladies and gentlemen, at this time I will present you with numerical facts
and an initiative I d like to call:

100%BYDEC7
Spiy, I know. Now, you might be asking yourself, Why December 7? That seems
a bit arbitrary. I assure you, it s not. Here s the timeline, in reverse:

January 14:

The second semester of school starts in PNG

January 7:

The date I need to arrive in PNG

December 7: The month before I need to arrive in which

paper work needs to be completed and that
cannot be started until I am 100% funded.
It is very important that I get back in January - we need enough full time math
teachers to teach ELEVEN math classes!

Monthly percentage as of Sep 15: IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

This is the snazzy percentage tracker. Once IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
the entire Papua New Guinean ag is visible,
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
100% of my monthly nancial needs are
covered and I can return to PNG! IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Every gift
