Dimensions:
1. Basic Black – 8 ½” x 5 ½” scored at 4 ¼”, 1 ¾” x 5 ¼”
2. Whisper White – 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”, 3 squares 1 ½” x 1 ½”
3. Brilliant Blue – 1 5/8” x 1 5/8”
4. Pink Passion - 1 5/8” x 1 5/8”
5. Green Galore - 1 5/8” x 1 5/8”
6. Vellum Cardstock – 3 pieces at 2” x 2 ½” to run through the Big Shot
7. Basic Black 5/8” Grosgrain Ribbon – one 6 ½” piece, one 4” piece

Instructions:
1. Cut all cardstock and ribbon according to the above dimensions and fold your card base
in half, running your bone folder along the edge to make a crisp crease.
2. Place one piece of vellum in the Beautiful Wings Emblossit die and make your Big Shot
sandwich (multi purpose platform open to Tab 1, cutting pad, embosslit and cutting pad)
and run through the Big Shot. Repeat this 2 more times so that you have 3 of the large
butterflies.
3. Using a sponge dauber, pick up some color from your Stampin’ Pastels and rub onto the
raised side of your vellum butterflies, working in circles and picking up more color as
needed. I have a sponge dauber for each color but you can clean them in between colors.
Color one of your butterflies with Brilliant Blue, one Pink Passion and one Green Galore.
4. Stamp your greeting in Basic Black ink centered on the bottom edge of your 4 1/8” x 5
3/8” Whisper White Cardstock.
5. Apply adhesive to the ends of your 6” piece of Basic Black ribbon and adhere to your 4
1/8” x 5 3/8” Whisper White Cardstock as pictured above wrapping the ends around the
back.
6. Apply snail adhesive to the back of your 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” Whisper White Cardstock and
adhere to the Basic Black card base.
7. To make the faux bow, apply a small amount of snail adhesive to one end of your 4”
piece of ribbon and adhere it to the opposite end so that you form a loop. Use your
piercing tool and poke a hole through your ribbon. I wiggled it around a bit to try and
make the hole a little bigger.
8. Put one of the larger Filigree Brads through the hole and spread the prongs to secure the
bow. Apply 2 to 4 mini glue dots to the back and adhere to card.
9. Glue your 1 ½” x 1 ½” Whisper White square to you Brilliant Blue, Pink Passion and
Green Galore 1 5/8” x 1 5/8” squares then adhere these to your 1 ¾” x 5 ¼” Basic Black
Cardstock.
10. Fold your vellum butterflies in half and then open them again so that they have a slight
bend and do not lay flat.
11. Apply a thin line of Tombow adhesive to the fold line and adhere to the corresponding
color square. Repeat for all 3 butterflies.
12. Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of your 1 ¾” x 5 ¼” Basic Black Cardstock
and apply to card.
13. Voila, you’re done!!!
