Open during Store Hours: Mon-Sat: 9-6, Sunday 10-5
This will be the fifth year of our popular fall show and sale of botanical art at Echter’s Garden Center. Items may be offered for sale to the public,
cash and carry. This year RMSBA will be able to accept credit cards for purchases. Neither Echter’s nor RMSBA take any commission on sales.
Exhibiting artists watch the exhibit, handle all sales and are required to work a day.
Eligibility: RMSBA members with 2009 dues paid, received by our treasurer by August 8, 2009.
Eligible Submissions: Original artwork, archival prints, cards, calendars featuring botanical subjects only; no figures, architecture, animals, etc. should ap-
pear in the artwork. Artwork featuring and including non-botanical subjects have been drifting into this exhibit and will not be permitted this year. Artwork not fitting
the requirements will be removed from display. Work may be framed or unframed.
Labeling: Every item that is for sale is required to have a removable sticker on it listing the following:
1) Artist’s 3 initials and a number; MJR1, MJR2, etc.
3) Medium: Watercolor, colored pencil, etc., or ‘print’
4) Price: Sale price (before sales tax) or NFS (not for sale)
Stickers will be removed when an item sells and will be used to track sales for each artist. Removable stickers are available at office supply stores in small sheets and
in a form that can be used in a desktop printer. Please label your items before you bring them to the exhibit. Unlabeled artwork will not be displayed.
Prints must be clearly labeled as “print” to prevent confusion with originals.
Exhibit Information: Each Artist will be allocated 2 lattice panels and 1/2 of a table for display of her artwork. Wood lattice display panels and fabric cov-
ered tables are provided. You may bring your own freestanding print bins, card racks, etc. Professional display fixtures only- no cardboard boxes or plastic storage
tubs. You may bring your own table covering, but it must be white. Your artwork must stay with the exhibit until take-down, unless sold. Artists removing your work
prior to take-down will forfeit the right to exhibit in 2010 RMSBA exhibits.
Setup: Thursday, September 10, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. Bring your completed inventory sheet with you to the setup. When you arrive you’ll check in and hang
your artwork. Cashier training will be at 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. and is required of all exhibitors. We will be showing you how to write up sales and make credit card
sales.
Take-Down: Sunday, September 20, 3:30 - 4:45 p.m. Echter’s is allowing us to take down the exhibit on Sunday for
our convenience, but will not stay past their 5:00 closing for us. Each artist will take down her artwork and do an inventory check-out.
Staffing & Sales: Exhibiting artists handle all sales and are required to work one day. Sign up for a work time in advance by emailing me, or you will be
assigned a time at check-in. We will need one person/day for weekdays and two people/day on weekends. Sales training is required of all exhibitors. RMSBA will
handle sales tax reporting and dispurse payments to members.
Fee: $30.00 payable to RMSBA. Mail a check with your registration form to Carol Till, 3665 Estes Street, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
