WHAT IS AUDUBON YES
Audubon YES is AudubonsYouth Environmental Stewards program, which brings your energy and idealism to bear on the environmental needs of your community, as well as the Earth as a whole. AudubonYES connects dedicated students with environmental organization for volunteer opportunities.

HOW TO TAKE PART

You must be an Audubon Society member or be a family member of an Audubon Society member. Membership is $35 annually. No one will be turned away for lack of funds (Please ask for details). Fill in the top of the Participant Time Sheet on the other side of this page. Keep it to make a record of your YES service hours.

HOW DOES AUDUBON YES WORK?

AudubonYES participants earn awards for all environmental services performed for the community.
As YES members volunteer, they receive credit and they track their hours to work towards an Audubon YES Award. The Activities Calendar lists many volunteer events you can do for Audubon YES credit. These activities are sponsored by many local environmental groups, not just Audubon. Many other activities qualify for credit besides those on the Activities Calendar. These can be part of a school, scout, church or YES group program. You may also work directly with Audubon on an activity of your own. AudubonYES gives recognition for the work you are already doing and offers many additional opportunities for service.YES works with all existing high school ecology club, service club and community public service programs. Award winners may join the Audubon YES Council. The YES Council provides new leadership opportunities for the volunteers. The Audubon YES Council Award gives recognition to those whose work encompasses all phases of YES effort: advocacy, education, leadership, outreach and stewardship. This is an award that is given to the most extremely dedicated YES members.
