    STEP 2 Band and orchestra Registration lnformation


    September 2012 Dear Parents: Today your child and the instrumental music teachers met and decided what the best instrument for him/her would be. lf you want your child to participate in the district's instrumental music program, you MUST register and pay the $CO.OO annual lesson fee at the Registration Night assigned below and provide an instrument for your child.

    All checks or money orders are payable to Waukegan Public Schools. Music Lesson Fee and instrument rent?ls must be paid with two separate checks. All students must purchase a book, Essential Elements 2000 for S9.oO-15.00 which will be available for purchase at Registration Night,
    Students will be pulled from the classroom for one 30 minute lesson per week. All students will be expected to practice 20-30 minutes a day for Band and Orchestra homework. Students will perform in concerts at their schools during the school year,

    Pay the 540.00 music lesson fee.

    Rent an instrument from a local music store or from Waukegan public Schools. A limited supply of district-owned instruments will be available for Sag.Oo for the entire school year. The 540.00 music lesson fee and District-owned instrument S48.oo fee have to be paid at Registration. No exceptions! Music lesson fee and instrument rentals must be paid with two separate checks.
