    This week's kindergarten theme is fall and pumpkins. The students will read pumpkin books, learn how pumpkins grow, and identify pumpkin parts. They will also have a spider snack of Oreos and pretzels. In math, the students will continue sorting objects and describing how they sorted them. The focus letters are Jj and Vv. It is also Red Ribbon Week, and the students should wear specific colors on different days. Sight words and color words will be reviewed this week at school and home. Parent conferences will be held on October 24th-25th to discuss MAP scores, report cards, strengths, and areas for improvement.

    Parent ConferencesI will be sending home reminders the day before your scheduled conference. If an emergency arises and you are not able to make it to the conference please call and let me know. Also, please try your best to be on time to your conference. I am on a strict schedule, as I have to meet with 23 families. I will only have 10 minutes to meet with each of you. We will be discussing your childs MAP scores, report card, strengths, and areas of improvement.
