Room 105 News

November 2014

Looking Ahead
Room 105 will begin the
month with an integrative
unit based on the book, The
Day the Crayons Quit by
Drew Daywalt. Our focus will
be to identify basic emotions
(happy, sad, angry, excited,
tired) and the colors yellow
and orange. Please
remember to complete and
return your childs Feelings
Book by Wednesday,
November 3.
We will then segway into a
unit all about colors, based
on the book, Brown Bear,
Brown Bear What Do You
See? By Eric Carle. In this
unit, students will count
animals, identify colors, learn
the sight word see, and
sequence/ retell the story
with pictures.
In the last half of the month,
we will learn about
Thanksgiving. We will focus

Special Notes

on friendship and family

during this season of
sharing. Students will also
learn how to set the table
so they can help on

Please continue to check
your childs backpack for
ideas of how you can
enhance your childs
