It is used to produce ammonium sulfate fertilizer through a reaction with aqueous ammonia, potassium sulfate fertilizer through a reaction with potassium hydroxide solution, and calcium hydrogen phosphate fertilizer through a reaction with calcium phosphate. About one third of all sulphuric acid produced is used to make chemical fertilizers.

    Ammonium sulphate fertilisers is prepared from the

    Pottasium sulphate fertilisers is prepared from the

    (superphosphate) is formed when sulphuric acid reacts with calcium phosphate. 2H2O (aq) + Ca2(PO4)2
