Hello! My name is, Mrs. Lombardo. I have excellent parents and one-amazing big brother. I had a great childhood growing up in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. In 2006, I graduated from McKeesport Area High School. After high school, I pursued a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Education with a Certification in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education from graduated in May 2010. I had such a pleasurable experience at Cal U that the decision to attend the university again was an easy one. I returned to earn my Maters in Education with a Certification in Reading Specialist, and

Reading and Writing Skills

Students will need to be able to write sentences that start with a capital letter and end with a punctuation mark. The sentence will have a telling part and an action part.

graduated in August of 2011. On August 6, 2011, I married my best friend. I have been working in this school for three years. I am excited to start the year off and get to know my new students. This Weeks Assignments


This week in Science we will be studying animals, including dinosaurs and pets. Children will be required to complete an science report on the animal of their choice by next Wednesday morning. Our trip to the zoo on Thursday may inspire some creative choices! We will also work on matching numbers with their number words and skip counting by twos.

This Weeks Highlights


Monday Today we are learning about dinosaurs. Tuesday Today we are learning about pets. Wednesday Today we are learning how to skip count by twos. Thursday Today we are going on a field trip to the zoo. Friday Today we have a special guest from the fire department to tell us about fire safety.

Upcoming Events
Classroom Open House Tuesday, September 6, 7:30 P.M. Ice Cream Social with the Faculty Friday, September 9, 5 P.M. School Assembly This week's school assembly is on storybook characters. Children may dress up like a character on Thursday. (You might want to bring a change of clothes for the rest of the day.) Costumes can be as simple as a hat or a small picture of your character pinned to your shirt. Have fun.
