Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and I cannot say I forgive you, I am become as sounding

brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and I cannot say I forgive you, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and I cannot say I forgive you, it profiteth me nothing.

Saying I forgive you may be the hardest thing youve ever said, but its the kind thing to say; saying I forgive you shows your lack of envy; saying I forgive you is nothing to boast of, its no reason to brag, 5 Saying I forgive you may not seem in keeping with good taste, its not about custom, its not the easiest thing to say, think no evil when you forgive; 6 Saying I forgive you is never about condoning their wrong, but its about not being bound by their wrong; 7 Saying I forgive you allows you to encourage others, so they can believe in second chances, so they can have hope, so they can find a way out of their indifference.

It never fails to say I forgive you: but whether you think you know how things will end, you dont; wherever there is gossip about someone, saying I forgave that person will make them cease; even if there be knowledge of sin, saying I forgive you shall make it vanish away. 9 For we only know part of the story, and we make predictions in part. 10 But when the whole story comes out, then that which is vain speculation will be tossed out. 11 When I was a child, I forgave as a child, I was forgiven as a child, everyone thought of me as a child: but when I became a man, I forgave like a man. 12 For now we see through forgiveness, darkly; but then it becomes crystal clear: now I know how the parts fit; that I will forgive as I have been forgiven. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, forgiveness, these three; but the greatest of these is I forgive you.
