COURSE OUTLINE
I. DESCRIPTION This course deals with the fundamental concepts of electricity and passive electronic measurements and troubleshooting. Laboratory activities are provided to verify and practice learned principles. II. OBJECTIVES Upon completion of the course, the participants should be able to: 1. Measure voltage, current, and resistance using the VOM. 2. Test the operating conditions of passive and active electronic components. 3. Distinguish surface-mount devices. 4. Interpret passive and active devices codes. 5. Use the oscilloscope for measurement and signal display properly. 6. Construct and analyze a typical power supply circuit. 7. Construct and analyze a basic amplifier circuit. 8. Read and identify schematic diagrams. 9. Learn some solder and de-soldering methods. III. PREREQUISITE The participant must at least be a secondary (high school) school graduate. IV. DURATION 30 hours IV. COURSE CONTENT A. Common Electronic Instruments a. Multi-meter 1. Functions 2.
