A thin layer surrounding the cell to keep the shape. A large, circular organelle found inside cells. An oblong-shaped organelle with many folded layers within. Tiny organelles.

Function
Controls movement of substances into and out of the cell. Contains genetic material and controls cellular activities. Involve in the energy transformations that take place in cells site of respiration. Sites of production of proteins. Provides support, prevents expansion of the cells and allows water and dissolved substances to pass freely through it. May contain food, enzymes or fluid. Plant cells typically have large fluid-filled vacuoles that provide support. Site of photosynthesis.
