Presenter: hello, youre listening to Oldham Community Radio its 9am, Im Amanda Wildflower the headlines for today are; the death of an elderly woman causes Metro Link to tighten up their health and safety regulations, the horse meat enquiries; Tesco give us their views and finally the students of Oldham college speak out about their college building renewal. First, The Shocking death of an elderly woman, in her 80s caused by a tram accident in Fails worth on Wednesday evening, sparked concerns about the new tramlines running through Oldham town centre, do you trust the safety of trams? our outside correspondent Habiba Bibi spoke to the shareholder and communications manager Neil Harrison about the measures they take. The Metro Link declined to comment on the tragic incident, but had this to say about their service in Oldham. Have you ever been so hungry that you couldve eaten a horse, or are you among the thousands that have been unknowingly deceived; super market giants, Tesco were found to be the first to have contaminated produce in their burgers. Our news reporter Oliver Rogers Interviewed one of the Tesco managers to find out his opinions. And finally, the Oldham College have secured a 7million budget from the skills funding agency to refurbish their existing college site to improve the facilities for both the staff and student. They are hoping to raise another 3million from other sources. Our reporter Rebecca Smith asked the students of OSFC what their views were of their neighbours extension, we also asked the Oldham College students for their views on the colleges improvements, heres their views.
