Volunteers Check List

Set-Up 0* Put your name badge on. 1* Plug in baby-wipes warmer. 2* Fill in top of Sign-In sheet / registration form. 3* Make sure there are enough labels, pagers, or I.D. cards. 4* Be sure you have all supplies needed for class. 5* Put sheets on beds if it applies to your age group 6* Start music CD or tape and/or check sound system. 7* Do you have a walkie talkie in your room? 8* All toys in good condition none broken. 9* Check to make sure you have snack and juice if required. 10* Check to make sure you have cups and napkins. 11*Tissue box. 12* Trash can with liner. During Service 13* Change diapers as needed if applies to your age group. 14* Disinfect changing table after each diaper change. 15* Wash hands after each diaper change. 16* Always buckle babies into swings, beds, etc. 17* Put a fresh bed sheet on for each child. 18* As time allows, spend some time teaching, singing to and ministering to each child. 19* If babies or preschoolers become restless towards the end of service try singing some songs, blowing bubbles, playing a game, or telling a story with actions to it. Closing 20* 21* 22* 23* 24* Vacuum and empty trash. Unplug or turn off all electronic equipment. Leave room neat; counters, cubbies clean. Label any forgotten articles with childs name and parents name. Hand in completed Sign-In sheet and or registration binder to the appropriate place or person. 25* Place all supplies and snacks in the appropriate areas. Return juice to the kitchen or refrigerator. Note: it may be a good idea to take photos of your rooms and post them in frames just inside the door so that maintenance and others using the room have a visual example of how the room should be set up for services and how it should be left after them.
