- Teach SegmentAGENDA: I - Introduction: (5-8 minutes) *Warm-up (act out different things from either India or Egypt) -walk like a pharaoh - Greet a partner like they do in India *Go over a brief history of the cultures.

EQUIPMENT: Scarf to represent the BONE 20 green cards that are exercises 20 yellow cards a combination of exercises and a clue to where they go next 20 red cards that are hieroglyphics and a riddle to solve TEACHING POINTS: * Remind students that this is a fun game, yes there is a BONE to get to, but they are learning about the different cultures and games they play. * Safety first!!! * Ask what they have learned * History on the game of DOG and BONE *Explain hieroglyphics Resources: http://www.traditionalnativegames.org http://www.ehow.com

Students will learn and understand the difference of the two cultures and how they can be made into a game, through learning the history behind both, then will have a verbal quiz at the end of class. Students will learn key parts of the culture for the Egyptians and Indians, through the secret readings on the card, and participating in the game. II Lesson Focus: Get in groups of 4 Each group will be given a dog breed on a card. The name of the game is DOG and BONE (20 minutes) The students will have to solve the different hieroglyphics scattered around the gym. Theses will include exercises and solving the clues to get the next card that will be in a different color. The main goal is to work as a tem to complete the different hieroglyphic riddles to get the BONE which will be an Indian scarf that will be waiting for the first team. The coach can play a variety of Egyptian and Indian tunes to get the students in the atmosphere of the culture. Closing: (5-8 minutes) Go over the different cultures and what the students learned. OBJECTIVE: Students will get to see what the different cultures are bout by participating in the game activity that includes both cultures.
