Plan the work involving personal responsible for preparation (isolation,depressurization,draining & gas testing etc.) of the worksite where gasket & studbolts is to be replaced Identify the gasket,studbolts,valve & flange to be replaced referring Isometric Drawing. Ensure the upstream as well as downstream valves where gasket & studbolts to be replaced is isolated properly. Use Lock & Tag Arrange corret specification gasket & studbolts for replacement. Grip ladder firmly while climbing at steady pace. Hold on to handrails when using staircase. Watch where you are stepping. Confirm isolation valve integrity by opening slightly the nearest vent / drain point. Verify the work area is gas free. Use non sparking tools in hazardous location. Erect secured scaffolding at properly leveled ground in case the gasket & studbolts to be replaced is located at height. Use safety harness while working at height. Use appropriate lifting tools & tackles for supporting the valve / flange where gasket & studbolts to be replaced. Remove the old gasket / studbolts & install new one safely Use gasket / studbolts of proper rating & specification as required. Lift with energy from the legs and keep back straight. Wear gloves. Ensure all tools are to be properly kept. Walk firmly and steadily in the process of moving things. Watch where you are stepping. Use proper lifting devices to move tools. ie trolley. Wear gloves.
