SAFE WORK PROCEDURE

Required Training
 First day EHS induction  External training for Lifting works
 Weekly Tool box Meetings  Lifting Safety In-house training

Personal Protective Equipment Required

 Safety Helmet  Leather Gloves


 Safety Shoe  Safety Belt (if necessary)

Safe Work Procedures

1. All lifting gears to be checked for damages,


wear and tear, missing components like the
safety latch from the hook etc. by the rigger
and signal man and counter checked by L.S
before use.

2. The validity of the PE certificates for the L.G


to be checked by the L.S. Check all LG’S are having
valid certificate
3. Lifting gears should be inspected and
certified by approved person once in every
12 months. If the lifting gear is used for man
cage then it should inspected and certified
once in every 6 months.

4. The color code system to be followed closely


as per the in house requirements by the
rigger and signal man. LS to ensure the
compliance.
Check all LG’S are color
5. All Lifting gears to be stored at designated coded after verification
locations after use

6. If there is a damage of more than 5% of the
wire sling strains, the lifting gear must be
immediately discarded

7. The tag should be provided by the supplier /


main contractor / the sub contractor
identifying the LG Number, SWL, Expiry
date, Company details of the lifting gear.

8. Do not use if the lifting gear found kink .

9. Padding must be provided if the lifting gear


is seated on the sharp objects
All LGs must be stored
10. Use lifting gear within the safe working properly after use.
