1.Purpose:
The purpose of this document is to make sure the safe usage of snorkel while working,
simple recommended guidelines for sacker at PepsiCo Sunder plant.

2.Scope:
This procedure is applicable to use of stacker at PepsiCo Sunder Plant.

3. Hazards and Risk Involved:

Fall related injuries.

5: Role & Responsibilities

It is responsibility of team to ensure that all safety precautions and steps should be followed
(Defined in section 4) before executing any activity.

6.Pre-use inspection.

 All fluid levels, including the oil, fuel, and Hydraulic.

 Any fluid leaks.
 Tires health check.
 Battery and charger health.
 Check all the controls.
 Horns, gauges, lights, backup alarms, and other warning devices.
 Operating and emergency controls.
 Stacker 3P Testing.
 Check forks.
 Check brakes.
 Check stacker chains.
 Check Hydraulic system.
 Check overhead cab/guard.
7. Safety precautions.

LOTO compliance should be followed as

per EHS guidelines.(Activity Specific)

Third party certified.

No unauthorized person operate snorkel.

Always check Ground condition before
start working.

Always use barricades around the

base of Stacker.

Third party certified harness with

double life line.

Be sure that all the area is clear

before start working.

Always wear safety Harness when in

the basket of stacker.

Report to your supervisor if you feel

unwell.

Operate a stacker only if you are

trained and authorised.

Be aware from the falling objects.

Do not overload Stacker.

Never use a stacker to carry or

transport a person.
 Do not speed.

Never pass load over people.

Check blind spots before reversing.

Never park stacker on slop.

Finally, remove LOTO. (Activity

specific.)
