PROCESS OF GLOBALIZATION AND CREATIVITY
Summary
Globalisation (or mondilisation) is a multidimensional process that appeared
during the eighties of the last century, but it seems to be more dominant in 21st century. As it refers to the economic, political, cultural and educational domains, one can
speak about the formation of the universal planetary civilization with the corresponding values. Globalization of education is nowadays reality and in near future it should
become practical, applicable and capable to respond to the market needs (knowledge
as a commodity ). In this concept of education, specific personality traits (creativity,
etc.) are neglected along with the efforts to develop childs distinct characteristics and
potentials.
Bologna process, as a special form of globalization, expresses the spirit of Anglo-American pragmatism and insists on the specialized knowledge, no extensive theoretical consideration, necessary synthesis and a deeper understanding of the whole, in
order to meet the demands and needs of the market, industry, and manufacturing, and
thus, form conformist individuals or citizens.
Contemporary theories and ideas on intellectual education are not only related
to the problems of intellectual development, but also to the more complete (versatile)
formation of the intellect, as well as personality and its various resources.
The development of the individual would not be complete without creativity (originality) as a component of not only intellectual but the overall development.
Development comprises not only knowledge but active participation in the adoption
process, processing and application of knowledge and a role in the development of
independent and critical thinking.
Creativity refers to finding new solutions, presenting new ideas and perception,
which is accepted as something that has social, spiritual, aesthetic, scientific and terminological value. Creativity is the educational need, a request that allows free expression and enrichment of individuality.
The author points out the role, importance and ability of teachers in fostering
creative process in education, develop teaching activity as a creative profession, as
well as encourage and facilitate the whole creative procedure.
Key words: creativity, globalization, encouraging
