    The Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan Central Student Government Commission on Audit (COA) adopted a resolution to formally adopt COA core values for the 2013-2014 academic year. The resolution establishes five core values for COA: God-centeredness, excellence, integrity, courtesy and respect for authority and rule of law.     RESOLUTION
    No. 01 - 002 Date: July 1, 2013 SUBJECT: Adoption of COA Core Values WHEREAS, The new administration of the Commission of Audit, headed by Chairperson Gizelle P. Labial, spells out its priorities and management thrusts for the Academic year (A.Y. 2013-2014) WHEREAS, The COA Strategic Plan for A.Y. 2013-2014 will provide the direction of the activities of the Commission in the discharge of its mandate and in pursuit of good governance and delivery of excellence in its services to the students; WHEREAS, as a Supreme Audit Institution, COA sets its vision, mission, goals and core values mandated under the XU-CSG Constitution and statutory laws; NOW THEREFORE, premises considered, the Commission has RESOLVED, as it does hereby resolve to adopt the COA Core Values as follows: God-centeredness: We believe that the authority we exercise as auditors is God-entrusted and therefore, our highest accountability is to Him Excellence: We commit to pursue MAGIS in performing our functions in compliance with the standards and best practices Integrity: We discharge our mandate in adherence to moral and ethical principles and the highest degree of honesty, independence, objectivity and professionalism Courtesy, Modesty and Humility: We uphold and practice courtesy, modesty and humility at all times and we acknowledge that we do not have a monopoly of technical expertise Respect for Authority and the Rule of Law : We pledge to remain steadfast in our sworn duty to uphold COAs ideals out of respect for authority and the rule of Law.

    This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
