RMTU Science Booth Competition OBJECTIVES:

1. To expose the potentials of Ramonians to the different scientific field of specialization in an interactive, educational way. 2. To develop the artistic skills of students in designing an effective science booth. 3. To creatively activate the schools natural and scientific awareness.

Every class will build a science booth according to their designated topic (scientific field) and will present during the Science Festival Culmination. The contestants are free to use any material that will enhance their booth (machines, apparatus, recyclable items, etc.) The booth must have the following features: o Title/Name of the booth o Read-Me section o Hands-on, Minds-on section All participants will pay a registration fee of Php 50.00 on or before the culmination.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

ESSAY WRITING CONTEST

OBJECTIVES:

RULES: All participants will compose an original 700 word essay in lined with the Science Festival theme. Participants must pass their essay after 60 minutes. No references, books or cellphones present during the contest.

CRITERIA:

SLOGAN MAKING CONTEST RULES: Interested students must bring their own 1 whole white cartolina and other art material that they need during the contest. Participants must compost a slogan dealing with the QARSS Science Festivals theme All entries must submit their work on or before the given 90 minute working time.

CRITERIA

SCIENCE JINGLE RULES: Every group must compose of 5 to 10 members. Participants will perform a 2 to 5 minute jingle concerning the QARSS Science Festivals theme. Any music or gesture accompaniment is allowed during the performance.

RECYCLABLE COSTUMES: Every classroom is required to fashion a recyclable costume out of the different recyclable materials. Representative in every classroom must wear and present the costume during the Science Festival Culmination.
