Take this event and make your social justice ideas, projects, campaigns, events, and groups a reality!

Time Expo Events Important Details


You receive a folder with your name,
9:00 – Greetings, Registration, Begin Viewing Exhibits & Tables workshop rooms, and Expo materials
9:30 – take a look and begin the day.

Take the 2 ballots, examine the


9:30 – exhibits, ask questions, and decide
View Exhibits and Vote for Your Top 2 Student Exhibits
10:10 who’s got the strongest projects.
Gather to represent your school and
10:10 – Welcome, School Shout-outs, and Speeches for Justice hear a few moving student speeches
Emcees: Anndreane Bell and Yvonne Zuniga - with speeches by Miguel Meza, and poems – support and represent!
10:30 Aaron Walker, Kellina Mojica, and Shelton Smith; special guest - Rudy Lozano Jr.

Choose a station, meet other


10:30 – Activity Stations, Exhibit Viewing, students, view exhibits, visit sponsor
11:15 & the Human Bingo Game organizations, & build student power!

Attend the workshop mentioned on


11:15 – Announcements and Instructions your folder – follow the signs and
11:20 guides for your room location.

Go to your workshop and participate


11:25 – Workshop Set 1 (Your room is noted on your folder) in the social justice activities and
12:25 discussions; build with others.

Take a walk with your friends and


12:25 – Lunch at Agape House – walk south on Halsted to someone new; get lunch, hang out,
1:25 Roosevelt – continue to Human Bingo Game and come back to UIC.

Go to your workshop and participate


1:30 – Workshop Set 2 (Your room is noted on your folder) in the social justice activities and
2:30 discussions; build with others.

Get a seat and make some noise for


2:35 – Chi-Town Talent Explosion w/ the Footwork Kingz, Chi-Town’s very own talent!
3:45 Kuumba Lynx, Student Poets, & More Speeches for Justice
Speeches on Immigration Rights by Karla Villaseñor
Gather with your school to leave –
3:45 – Schools Leave; Post-Expo Conversations and Clean-up but turn in the CYIC membership
4:30 Sign up with CYIC to continue building student form if you’re interesting in building
power and unity across Chicagoland! Chicago’s student power group.
