Albany Countys Own Hells Kitchen Competition

The heat is on in Albany County! The kitchen area at ShopRite in Colonie will surely be a pressure cooker during this National Preparedness Month cooking competition. Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy will face off against Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple Sr. to create the most delicious and nutritious meal using only non-perishable food items from their emergency preparedness kits. Thats the purpose for the cook-off to make sure Albany County residents know how to put together an emergency preparedness kit and how to use it. ShopRites own Chef Melissa Doney Sheridan, CEC, will emcee. You may know her from Hells Kitchen. Judging the plates will be Colonie Town Supervisor Paula Mahan, Albany County Legislator Mary Lou B. Connolly and a member of our own Albany County Citizen Corps. The cook-off will take place Thursday, September 12th at 11:30 a.m. at ShopRite, 1730 Central Avenue, Colonie. ###
