Junior golfers progress through 5 stages to improve their skills, starting with 9-hole medals on a shorter course and advancing to 18-hole competitions on the full course. Progression requires achieving handicap standards at each stage, beginning at 9 or better and advancing to 19 or better in stage 3 before reaching a handicap of 9 or better in the final two stages to achieve junior/senior status. Certificates are awarded upon completion of each stage.
