October Skills
In our Literacy/Letter Time, I will be introducing the letters Hh, Tt, Ii, and Uu. We spend time each day talking about the sounds these letters make as well as how we form them. This month in the Math Center, students will be starting to write numerals 1-4 using the chalkboards and practice papers. We will also be working on connecting these numerals to quantities. This months character education topic is differences. Please help to reinforce the importance of accepting differences in others with your child.

day please let me know.

Odds and Ends

In the Handwriting Without Tears program the children are instructed to start their letters at the top. When they make a stroke and need to go back to the top, we call that a frog jump. In the letter formation information paper I gave you at the Open House you will find the correct sequence and terminology to use when helping your child form their letters. Please use this information to help your child practice writing their name. I will be sending home some name practice papers this month. Please also help to reinforce that our names only have one capital at the beginning.
