January News
Welcome back! I hope that everyone had a great Christmas Break. I know that I did! But I sure hope everyone is as excited to be back to school as I am because we have some exciting thing to look forward to in January! It is a month all about animals! We will start off with Farm Animals, then Polar Animals, and then Zoo Animals. The week of the 2oth we will talk about Marin Luther King Jr. as well as Bears. We will end the month talking about our bodies. There are two weeks in January where we will have school on Thursdays. Please take note and mark your calendars. Week 1 Thur. - Oranges Fri. Important Dates January Skills


In our Literacy/Letter Time, I will be introducing the letters Dd, Pp, and Bb. After Bb we will be reviewing all letters that have a big or little curve. This month in the Math Center, students will be continuing to write numerals and match quantities to the numerals. We will begin with 10 and then move on to 11-20. This months character education topic is cooperation. I will be introducing the character trait through reading The Little Red Hen and talking about working together.

Friday, January 17 There is No School. We will make up class on Thursday, January 16. Monday, January 20 There is No School in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We wil make up class on Thursday, January 23.

Friday, January 31 is Blue Show-N-Tell Day. Have your child come dressed in blue, share something blue, and we will have a blue snack as well!
