Concept Description
Since the ECIR is planning to join or affiliate with the international house, the design concept of this logo is to represent the international house in an abstract way as well as indicating identity from other website logos. The design takes other international houses logo as reference to maintain a consistent design style. The desgin consists big letter I and H, as an acronym for International House, and the dot for i is a sphere representing earth and people, where the people looks like opening his arms and holding others. The right side of the logo is a shape of house, where the roof is consisted of AA, indicating Ann Arbor. The color I chose is based on the color of earth and another classic yellow to create complementary harmony. The typegraphy I chose is mainly to make AA look like the roof, and also looks a formal in small size as well to show the supplementary text for the logotype.
