INTRODUCTION

&he purpose of this case stud4 is to appl4 the knowled6e of our 6roup 6ained in our -isco Networkin6 class From this point on) weEll ha9e to effecti9el4 desi6n a 10th floor buildin6 with biometrics s4stem that would ser9e as attendance recorder and that would automaticall4 6enerate pa4roll Fe also need to remember that the hosts can access the $nternet for some reasons And some departments can access the ser9er .er9er must ha9e back-up Fifi connection must be a9ailable at the emplo4eeEs loun6e 'nd de9ices will be distributed based on departmentEs need &he ran6e must be indicated as well as the siCe of the loun6e room .pecifications of the P- re@uirements must be hi6hl4 considered due to the specified task for each department Number of host was also 6i9en b4 our professor and need to be met b4 our desi6ned network

&he buildin6 is a 10-floor buildin6 'ach floor consists of one or more rooms All computers in one room are connected to a switch All switches are connected to one main switch that is located in the $& %epartment in >th Floor &hat switch is connected to 2 routers and to the internet &he .er9er that can access all the networks in the buildin6 is located in the $& department in the >th floor &he switch in the $& room is connected to 3 ser9ers 1 will be the main ser9er) and the other is the back up ser9er Not all host can access the internet &he trainin6 room) 'Damination room and the two conference room cannot access the internet &he ser9er is blockin6 the $P address of the hosts in those rooms &here is a biometrics s4stem that would ser9e as attendance recorder and that would automaticall4 6enerate pa4roll $t is located in the 1st or 6round floor in the reception area &he biometric s4stem and the computers in the reception are connected to the same switch &here is also a loun6e room with wifi connection in the 1st floor &he ran6e is able to reach all the location in the loun6e room &he wireless de9ice is bein6 connected to the switch in the $& department

1st floor - &here will be a receptionist desk near the entrance $tGs for the in@uir4 need of the 6uest that will 9isit the buildin6 0iometric s4stem and the loun6e room with wifi connection is located in this room also 0iometrics

2nd floor - &rainin6 room and eDamination room is located here &he two rooms ha9e no access to the internet 0ecause there is no need for the computer that is used for eDam and trainin6 to use the internet

3rd floor - -ustomer assistance is located in this floor &his is where the emplo4ee will assist customer and answerin6 their concern about the compan4

=th floor - !arketin6 aepartment) audit department and accountin6 department is located in this floor &hese department will need to communicate with each other often) thatGs wh4 the4 are located in the same floor

Bth floor - +esearch department and @ualit4 control department is located in this floor &he @ualit4 control department has no internet connection because this is the place where the emplo4ee will check their product and producti9it4 &here is no need for the internet

9th floor - .taff office is located here) where the staff will settle and work on their task
