Choral Lesson Plan

Objectives: Have kids singing and understanding what their head voice sounds like.

Procedures: 1) Tell the kids that the need to follow the plan with their voices. 2) Demonstrate what the plane sounds like when its high in the air (high pitches) and what happens as it falls (slide your voice down through the pitches.) 3) Throw the airplane and have kids, and you, follow it with your voice. 4) If it lands by a kid, let them throw it.

Materials: Paper airplane.

Prior Knowledge: Kids will have done exercises similar to this in class.

Indicators of Success: Kids will be singing in their head voice without knowing it. They can actively follow the plan in their high register.

Follow Up: Explain to them why we did the exercise and tell them that they were using their head voice.
