Instrumental Lesson Plan

Objectives: Have kids playing rhythmic compliments after you play something.

Procedures: 1) Have the kids all come up and grab an instrument from the box. 2) Explain to them what a rhythmic compliment is and do an example. 3) Have kids get into pairs and let them make compliments with each other. 4) Have the pairs play their compliments for the class.

Materials: Orff instruments.

Prior Knowledge: Kids will have used Orff instruments before.

Indicators of Success: The kids are using their instruments to make compliments that sound neat.

Follow Up: Have the kids do some Question and Answer on their instruments. (AKA you play something over and over and have the kids respond with compliments.)
