Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan

English Grade 10

I. OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:


A. Distinguish the different rules of Pronoun-antecedent agreement with each other.
B. Use pronoun that agree in number, in gender and in person with their antecedents.
C. Show interest about the lesson.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:


PRONOUN-ANTECEDENT AGREEMENT
Reference: English Book Grade 10
Materials: Cartolina, Manila paper, Pilot Pen, Envelope, Photocopies, Reward card

III. PROCEDURE:

A. Preparatory Activity:
 Prayer
 Classroom Management

B. Review: (Think Pair Share) (Reward card)

Instruction: Replace the words in the column by the correct personal pronouns.

1. My mother’s name is Angie. (Angie) is from Germany.


2. Bob is my dad. (My dad) is a driver.
3. On the left you see Simon. (Simon) is my brother.
4. (Sue and Simon) are twins.

C. Motivation: ( Picture Talk) (Reward card)


 Make a sentence out from the picture using pronoun.

E. Lesson Proper:

Post the following definition and let the students read:


 ante means “before”
 antecedent is a noun that comes before the pronoun.
 Pronoun-antecedent = is a word that comes before a pronoun to which the pronoun
refers.

F. Group Activity: Each group will be provided with materials needed in the activity.
In scoring the rubrics group 2 will score the work of the group 1, group 3 will score the work
of group 2, group 4 will score the work of group 3, group 1 will score the work of group 4.
