Topic : Vocabulary and Listenning Teacher : Noeurm Senghak
Concept to be taught: 1. Vocabulary of hobbies
2. Listening for main ideas
Materials :Pictures from Google, Youtube, Handouts (Questions, Listening practice and Vocab homework)
Lesson Description: This lesson is written to allow students to identify the vocabulary of hobbies and listening
for main ideas. First, they pronounce words or phrases about hobbies in Exercise 1A after listening and
repeating. Then they complete the sentences in Exercise 1B using words or phrases from Exercise 1A
individually. Next, they number the pictures and write True or False for each statement in Exercise 1C and 1D
after studying listening skills box. Finally, they share their five hobbies with friends in class after explained by
teacher.
Objective Method / Activities
Warm up: Answer the questions led by -Tr. asks What do you like to do in your free time? Where do
teacher. you do them?
-Elicit the answers from all Ss in the class.
Possible answers:
-(read, listen to music, hang out with friends, and watch TV
etc.)
-(at home, at the mall etc.)
-The topic is “Hobbies” means things that you like to do in
your free time. (When you don’t go to school or work.)

Concept to be taught: 1. Speaking: Softening opinions
2. Pronunciation: Word stress
Materials :Pictures from Google and textbook, Youtube,
Lesson Description: This lesson is written to allow students to practice speaking using softening opinions and
pronunciation word stress. First, they math the questions to the correct answers in Exercise 2A individually.
Second, they identify the expressions of softening opinions in Exercise 2B. Then they practice the
conversation in Exercise 2C in pairs with their own information. Next, they pronounce the compound nouns
with the correct word stress in Exercise 2D while listening and repeating. Finally, they work in pair to practice
saying the given words focusing on pronunciation.
Objective Method / Activities
Warm up: Practice asking and answering the -Tr asks ss to write down 8 phrases that they learned on the
questions by using words or phrases led by board. Then let them ask and answer the questions;
