Concept to be taught: 1. Grammar: Verb + infinitive
Materials : Handouts (Questions, Listening for Grammar)
Lesson Description: This lesson is written to allow students to practice using Grammar Verb+ infinitive. First,
they identify the form and use of verb + infinitive in Exercise 3A. Second, they unscramble the sentences in
Exercise 3B individually after the teacher’s explanation and model. Third, they ask and answer questions using
the pictures and clues in Exercise 3C with their partners. Next, they ssk and answer the questions to complete
the chart in Exercise 3D on pages 94 and 97 in pairs. Finally, they complete the Grammar practice individually
after teacher’s explanation.
Objective Method / Activities

Materials : Pictures in textbook, Handouts (Grammar practice, quiz, Writing project I)
Lesson Description: This lesson is written to allow students to practice reading to identifying details. First,
they answer the question in Exercise 4A individually while scanning the article after the teacher’s explanation.
Second, they answer the questions in Exercise 4B individually while reading the article after studying the
Reading Skill Box. Then they complete the chart with details in Exercise 4C individually after vocabulary
clarification. Next, they write a paragraph in Exercise 4D about their hobby using the information from
Exercise 4C individually. Finally, they talk about their favorite hobby with a partner after teacher’s explanation.
