Happy Monday! Today is 11/12/13 and what a great way to start our week, saluting our veterans! I found a nice article on this holiday you may enjoy too: http://www.history.com/topics/history-of-veterans-day This week I will be at the Southeast Regional Library on Wednesday from 10am-1pm to help students with work or to give them another place to work from for a few hours. The address is 10599 Deerwood Park Blvd. Thursday is our field trip to the Three Little Pigs at the Wilson Center for the Arts. K-8 School Wide Spelling Bee Announced Date: December 11th Time: 10 am Location: NOVA Please let me know if you are interested in participating in this Spelling Bee so I can send you the study guide to begin working through. Last year one of our 2nd graders, Joseph, won and represented DVIA in the county level competition! This is open to all spellers K-8!

November 27th-December 2nd- Weather Days and Thanksgiving Break December 4th- Library Day 10-1 *students can come in for help or just to do work in a different environment. Wednesday, December 18th 6-9pm Parents and guests do not have to pay if they dont want to play. You can just buy a ticket for your children. I posted the flyer to your Connexus Message board.

We are in the 2ndQuarter. Tests 60 and 80 will be due by January 9th to give our ATSs a week to grade and post.
