Statement of Principles: We are the officially-reco ni!e" ministerial roup on the University of Cincinnati campus compose" of "ifferent ministries #ho #or$ to ether in cooperative venues for the %enefit of the faculty& staff& a"ministration& an" stu"ents' Campus Ministries Association reco ni!es the tra"ition of each mem%er ministry as an authentic form of faith' We (oin in a pluralistic partnership of service to the entire university' We honor the primary o%li ation of each "enominational mem%er to care for its o#n constituency in its o#n #ay' We #ill not proselyti!e each other)s constituents' We also see$ #ays to manifest the unity of the human family in the university settin & an" to prepare stu"ents for lives of communal an" lo%al responsi%ility' We #ill en"eavor to e*press %y #or"& style an" structure the oneness %eneath the "iversity of faith herita e' Purposes of the Campus Ministries Association To %e supportive in the in"ivi"ual ministries To act as a clearin house for e*chan e of i"eas of one or all roups To ive personal support to each other as ministers To en a e in learnin e*periences amon staff To provi"e an opportunity for lin$a e #ith national campus or ani!ations To promote on oin perio"ic evaluations to achieve effective ministry To "evelop a climate in #hich all faiths are value" To provi"e spiritual support to in"ivi"ual stu"ents& faculty an" staff or to the campus community as appropriate "urin campus #i"e events To serve as a resource for the campus community for pro rams+activities that help "evelop faith an" spirituality as an a"(unct to university e"ucation' Article I' Name of the Association The name of the association shall %e Campus Ministries Association ,CMA- at the University of Cincinnati' Article II' Mem%ers of the Association The current mem%ers of the association shall %e .aptist Colle iate Ministry& Cha%a" /e#ish Center& 0illel /e#ish Stu"ent Center& 1utheran Campus Ministry& 1utheran Stu"ent 2ello#ship& Saint Monica-St' 3eor e Catholic Stu"ent Ministry& an" University Christian Church' Other campus ministries "esirin mem%ership in CMA may %e electe" thereto upon vote of a simple ma(ority of the mem%ers of CMA pursuant to re4uirements "etermine" %y the 5*ecutive Council' Article III' 5*ecutive Council The 5*ecutive Council shall consist of a professional staff representatives from each mem%er a ency' The 5*ecutive Council shall elect its officers an" shall carry out the #or$ of CMA as "efine" in the purpose' 5*ecutive Council shall meet at least %i-monthly "urin the aca"emic year' 5ach mem%er of the 5*ecutive Council shall un"erstan" that they are often seen as servin as a representative of the lar er CMA an" not only as a representative of their particular faith' Article I6' Officers The officers of the 5*ecutive Council shall %e chairperson& vice-chairperson& secretary& an" treasurer' These officers shall %e electe" %y the 5*ecutive Council' 5ach officer #ill serve a term of t#o ,7- years %e innin /une 8st' 5ach officer shall perform the appropriate function of his+her office'

Article 6' Committees The 5*ecutive Council shall esta%lish such committees as "eeme" appropriate to e*pe"ite the #or$ of the Council' Article 6I' 2iscal 9esponsi%ility 5ach year prior to the fifteenth "ay of May a %u" et shall %e presente" %y the treasurer to the e*ecutive Council' The fiscal year shall %e /anuary 8 to :ecem%er ;8' After the approval of the %u" et %y the e*ecutive Council& not later than the thirtieth "ay of May& it shall %e su%mitte" to each mem%er of CMA for approval of its specific financial contri%ution in the ne*t fiscal year as state" in the %u" et' If feasi%le& each mem%er shoul" approve the final %u" et prior to the fifteenth "ay of Octo%er' As the 5*ecutive Council "eems appropriate& prior to the first "ay of 2e%ruary& a %u" et+finance committee shall au"it the treasurer)s %oo$s an" report thereon at the ne*t meetin of the 5*ecutive Council' Article 6III' Mem%ership 9esponsi%ility A' 5ach mem%er of CMA shall contri%ute the prescri%e" annual "ues' Willful an" prolon e" "elin4uency& after proper counsel& can lea" to suspension of mem%ership' .' Pro ram responsi%ilities fall into three cate ories: 8' A pro ram in #hich all a ree to participate& thus all share in its implementation' 7' Pro rams in #hich there is a reement to offer them un"er CMA sponsorship& yet on or another ministry may not %e an active participatin the event or activity' These pro rams shall come un"er perio"ic revie#' ;' Pro rams to #hich one ministry is oppose" an" there%y preclu"es that event from procee"in un"er CMA sponsorship' C' Ministries are e*pecte" to %e represente" in atten"ance in the CMA 5*ecutive Council' Three meetin s misse" in an aca"emic year& after proper counsel& can lea" to suspension of mem%ership' Article I<' 6otin 5ach mem%er ministry shall have one vote in the "ecision ma$in process of the association' 6otin "ecisions #ill %e "etermine" %y a simple ma(ority vote e*cept in the election of ne# mem%ers& "ismissal of mem%ers& an" constitutional amen"ments+revisions #hich #ill re4uire a t#o-thir"s ma(ority vote' Article <I' Amen"ments of .y-1a#s' The .y-la#s of the CMA may %e amen"e" %y a vote of the mem%er ministries at any re ularly calle" meetin of the 5*ecutive Council& provi"e" that each representative ministry receives a #ritten statement of the propose" chan es ten "ays %efore the meetin ' Article <II' 9ules of Proce"ure The procee"in s of the 5*ecutive Council an" all committees shall "efault to 9o%ert)s 9ules of Or"er'
