Classroom Rules: 1. Do not be disruptive. Do not speak when others are speaking. Raise your hand to ask a question, answer a question or for any other comments. 2. The materials station is at the front of the classroom for when you are unprepared: a. To borrow a pencil, pen, or eraser, leave a personal item in the box near the materials station. I recommend one of your shoes. Trade the pencil back in at the end of class for your personal item. b. For paper, I ask that you donate approximately the same amount of sheets you needed at a later date. 3. When you hear the activity buzzer or bell in class, you should stop your task, stop any discussion, and return to your seat if necessary. 4. Teacher dismisses the class, not the school bell. 5. I observe all of the school rules that are not covered here. Please review the school handbook for further details. Remember to review the dress code and cell phone policy! Consequences: I will extend warnings as appropriate followed by the normal procedure for disruption infractions as detailed in the Student Code of Conduct and Student Planner.

Late Work (subject to change): I will deduct ten percentage points for each day the assignment is late. An excused absence is the exception assignments are due upon your return to school. Absences: Please download any notes and assignments that I have posted on the Edmodo class page. If you do not have access to Edmodo, pick up your work at the designated station at the front of the classroom. Classroom Procedures: 1. Enter class quietly and turn in any homework in the designated tray at the front of the classroom at the beginning of class. Begin any warm-up problems immediately after your homework is turned in. 2. Turn in any problems at the end of the period, aka exit tickets, in the designated folder on the bulletin board by the door when I have released the class. 3. Write your name, date, class and period at the top of any work you are turning in. Exit tickets are the only exception; exit tickets only require your name. 4. To go to the restroom, nurse, guidance counselor, or the principals office, quietly raise two fingers. You are excused AFTER I have signed your student planner. You must take a bathroom pass with you or your student planner. These are your hall passes! The first 10 minutes of class and the last 10 minutes are for emergencies only. If this privilege is abused, limitations may be imposed. 5. When I do a check in during class, write a response on your white board. Write a large check mark if you understand and are ready to proceed. Write EX if you need more examples or review. Finally, write a large question mark if you feel lost and need help, or if you have a question.
