EXPERIENCE
Substitute Teacher Sept 2003-Present Oswego City School District Developed, implemented, and effectively lead relevant, rigorous, standards-based lesson plans to engage students at various levels of maturity, aptitude, and motivation. Cultivated positive, open collaborative relationships with students, parents, and staff to encourage student success. Leveraged technology, tiered learning, digital storytelling, and SmartBoard classroom lessons and videos, to enhance instruction, learning activities, and assessments. Coordinated and led planning meetings for a new student-centered, school-wide literacy and numeracy remediation effort under the directive of the superintendent.

OBJECTIVE
I am eager to begin teaching children music, a subject in which I have been thoroughly trained. My experiences outside the classroom over the years since my college graduation have broadened and enriched my life and brought me to the point where I have the confidence to begin my professional career, and to not just hold class, but to teach enthusiastically and well.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS Beyond the skills indicated through my professional experience, I also possess expertise in the following:
Microsoft Office, including Windows 9x, Google, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Power Point, Media Shout, Power Presenter, Smart Board, Finale 2013, Prezi, Glogster, Weebly, Wiki formatting, and I learn new software very quickly. Creative lesson planning and implementions to engage all students at all times. Managing people, projects, and finances. Written and verbal communication. I know a small amount of ASL; American Sign Langauge. Collaborating with other educators for improved results.

INTERESTS & HOBBIES When I am not teaching, you might find me


Spending time with my bride, Michelle (June 29th will be 29 years). Spending any time we can with our 3 grown daughters. Writing and arranging music; mostly in the barbershop style. Writing; creating story lines for my superhero collection (+400). Playing table games; over 100 in our collection; Killer Bunnies, especially. Solving Crossword puzzles, Sudoku, or Jumble competitively. Playing Racquetball; have been for over 30 years. Cooking of any kind; former Army Cook. LOTS of left overs! Watching Michigan sports (Go Lions, Tigers, U of M, Red Wings, etc !)
