Materials and/or Equipment: Piano keyboard Recorders Treble clef staff on whiteboard with magnetic note heads Posters for Hot Cross Buns and Mary Had a Little Lamb Activities and Procedures: Anticipatory Set: Review recorder rules while distributing the recorders Lesson Sequence: Review the notes of the treble clef staff Review the notes B, A, and G while reinforcing proper posture, breathing, and tone production Teach Hot Cross Buns Extras: Mary Had a Little Lamb Closure: Collect recorders and thank students for their participation Modifications for Individual Differences: Modify movements or instrumental parts as needed for students with physical disabilities of any kind.
