    Learning Standards:3.1.1 Able to write in neat legible print with correct spelling (b) sentences Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to: (i) CCE: Teaching aid Produce a story about their family.

    Constructivism, multiple intelligences :

    Steps: Pre-Writing: 1. 2. 3. Teacher shows picture of Amins family. Teacher elicits pupils knowledge about the family members. Pupils talk about family members in the picture.

    While-Writing

    1. Teacher introduces words based on picture. (Suggested words: nouns such as father, mother, sister, grandfather etc). 2. Teacher gets pupils to provide a word (adjective and article) for each of the given word. (a big family, beautiful mother etc.). 3. Get pupils to construct simple sentences using the phrases taught; Eg: This is Amins big family. There are seven members in his family. 4. Teacher guides the weak pupils on how to write simple sentences.

    Post-Writing

    Pupils write about their own family using similar sentence pattern taught.
