In archaeological explorations were carried out on it during the last century, was found a sarcophagus of basalt. Probably belonging to Menkaure, this was lost in a shipwreck in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Murcia. To the east of the pyramid of Cheops pyramids were built called queens, almost 50 meters wide and 30 high, to serve his mother tombs and their wives Hetepheres Merytites and Henutsen.
