A few weeks ago my team and I were asked to do a serv|ce pro[ect for k|ds that are
go|ng hungry. 1he ob[ect|ve was to have as many peop|e as poss|b|e come to th|s event to
ra|se money for them. 1hese part|c|pants wou|d come w|th the|r danc|ng shoes on and have a
batt|e w|th peop|e |n the|r same age category. We went to the kf|n|ty center and were asked
to co||ect a f|ve do||ar fee for anyone who entered. 1h|s money, a|ong w|th a [ar of peanut
butter, went to a foundat|on to feed ch||dren that were |n need.
ne|p|ng these k|ds was a fun exper|ence because I got to do what I |ove and he|p
peop|e at the same t|me. As a team and an organ|zat|on we succeeded to f||| the stomachs of
ch||dren that were go|ng hungry. We d|d not get to meet the k|ds that we were feed|ng but I
knew |n my heart that they wou|d great|y apprec|ate |t. My v|ew upon hungry ch||dren |n
Utah changed . I d|dn't rea||ze that 1 |n S k|ds go hungry every day, that's a |ot |f you rea||y
th|nk about |t.
