 Acknowledgement:
I would like to express my special thanks of gratitude to my teacher Ms Dr. Seema Ansari who
gave me the golden opportunity to do this wonderful project which is giving out to the
community and to the less fortunate, which also helped me in developing my soft skills and i
came to know about so many new things, I am really thankful for all that.
Secondly, i would also like to thank my parents, friends and also my wonderful group members
who helped me a lot in finalizing this project within the limited time frame.

Introduction of Sahara village.

Sahara Public Rights Welfare Organization, established in 1988, has been striving to serve the
sick, the old, the disabled and also children. The concern of the organization is to provide the
facilities to those people who are helpless, dependent and unconscious. The most remarkable
project is a care center for the old, mentally challenged and handicapped persons. In addition to
this, it is managing two shelter homes in Ibrahim Hyderi and Korangi Creek areas. Sahara
Village is a non-profit Organization committed to promoting recovery from mental illness
through a collaborative client-centered behavioral program. Our clients manage their mental
illness so that they can be successful and satisfied in the living, working and learning.

Objective
The objective of this assignment is to nurture a culture of respect and care towards all members
of the community among the fortunate students and to plant a seed of dream into the hearts of
people in the orphanage homes.

Aim:
To develop a community of tertiary people to be more responsible, more sensitive, and more
conscious about the community and their needs.

Experience:
In this report, I proudly want to share my unforgettable moments that I spend with them. My
experience at Sahara Village for a total of 9 weeks. During the period I have worked in different
projects that were the part of Sahara Village. Some of which include; Feeding old or mentally ill
people, arranging their food, taking care of their rooms and look after them.
And many more which I am going to describe below week wise:

Week # 01
Introduction
On my first day, I visit the whole shelter and observe that how these peoples are living there and
also analyze it how they spend their time with this spared nature. And saw the old age, disabled
and orphan people that are currently living there and being treated under this wonderful helping
hand organization. Further I introduced myself to them that now onwards I will be with them to
spend time and will do some activities to entertain them and keep them busy to be pleasant.

 Week # 02
Delivering lecture about the chronic diseases.
I familiar or introduce them to such disease that can happens normally in this age. Chronic
diseases include asthma, heart disease, stroke, diabetes and arthritis. These diseases often can be
prevented or controlled keeping risk factors, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol and
elevated blood sugar levels, under control so I guide them that how to prevent how control these
things. I suggested them to eat healthy, get regular physical activity, avoid harsh drinking, get s
screened, and get enough sleep to live the serene life.

Week # 03
Indoor games
Grooming with the people who has nothing to do being unconscious is a wonderful vibes that I
never ever felt with any beloved ones that actually makes me so proud to be served to the desired
community. These people are very disappoint with their living lives so we just to come to fill the
colors of their black and white life by entertain them so I bring some ludos to play. we played a
ludo game with them that they can use their mental ability to be fit mentally by playing this game
also enjoying to make a competition between them by making teams and play tournament to be
win a selected team. After that I donate those ludos to them so that they can take fun every day.

 Week # 04
Giving them information about laptops
Knowledge is the power. We are greatly share the information about technology which is fastest
growing that they need to know, some of them were familiar to the IT field or related things they
just want a refresh go through to remember all the workings. So, I teach them about laptop
features let them learn that how te things are happens. I taught them to make Gmail account, how
to do copy paste, how to use excel sheet, Microsoft word and power point.

 Week # 05
Meeting with ward patients
I look after the patients in the ward that are not well physically. So, I visit the ward ask them
about their conditions and suggest them to avoid to eat unnecessary or unhealthy meals and take
care of them.

 Week # 06
Food serving
Being helping hand we support them to keep continue the charity and help them by providing
foods to the needy ones. I and my team members did it together and serve the food to whole
community that are living there.

Week # 07
Musical event
Our mission is to foster connection and understanding through the universal language of music,
to provide a platform where people of all abilities and identities can connect and build
relationships, and to inspire the creation of safe, inclusive, and equitable communities. So, sing a
song in front of them to enjoy the people as audience.

 Week # 08
Plantation
Plantation is necessary for our health and climate as well. I bowed a seed there and some plants
also it also effects our environment let them know that how much it is important for our
respiratory system to be better and produce more carbon dioxide.

 Week # 09
Got certificate
In the last, we got certified as an official worker of this NGO. I believe and feel so proud to
work for them. It makes me feel fortunate to be a part of that family. I personally feel nice to
meet them and inshallah will meet them again and again.
I would like to thanks my coordinator Mr. syed Atiq ur rehman, who guide me in every step and
also want to thanks my group member whithout their support I could not do anything and thanks
to my faculty again who gave me this chance.
