State of the Lodge
Brothers of the Lodge, Welcome back to the 2014 Spring Semester! I hope everyone had a relaxing Christmas and New Years and enjoyed time with your families. Over break, I attended the Leadership Conference for the #1s in Nashville, TN. It was a great opportunity to improve my skills as a leader as well as meet other Brothers form the Alphas around the country. Without your support for Chi Psi, events like these would not be possible, so I appreciate your support. On February 15th, 2014 we are hosting a Scholarship Cocktail Party and we wish to get Alumni support. This will also give you the opportunity to meet the new members of our Alpha. The Cocktail Party will be starting at 4 p.m. Our New Member Education begins on the weekend of February 7th. We are finishing up Rush Week and I would like to thank our Rush chair Matt Laub for organizing successful events. Over Christmas Break we also hired a new chef and food company. Unfortunately we had to let our old chefs, the Wrights, go and we wish them the best going forward. It was a long process to find what we wanted but it has been a great success thus far. Some of you may know our chef, Kelly, as she worked on the Hill 5 years ago at Alpha Phi sorority. I would also like to thank our newly elected New Member Educator Peter Bernstein for his dedication to take this responsibility. Undergraduate Spotlight: Peter Bernstein

Brother Peter Bernstein 14 has been one of the most accomplished Brothers within and outside of the Lodge. He is an Economics major and he is actively applying for jobs upon graduation. During his time at Lehigh, he was the offensive manager of the football played for 3 years and has held positions within the Lodge including the current Vice President and the New Member Educator. Peter is also the V.P. of the Democratic club at Lehigh for the past 2 years. He currently has the Highest GPA in the Arts and Sciences school in the Lodge and has been a member for 2 years now. As VP of the Lodge he has helped me out tremendously by attending meetings and creating event ideas for us to partake in. !

New Facebook Page Undergraduate News/ Upcoming Events February 15, 2014Scholarship Cocktail Party @ 4PM February 15, 2014- Football banquet @ Iacocca Hall February 7, 2014- Bid night for New Members.
There is a new Facebook page for parents and alumni. The Facebook page is replacing the old website because the local website is no longer available through Lehigh. The page will be a tool that is utilized for Lodge updates, pictures from events and news for upcoming events. The Facebook page includes information about accreditation and how stakeholders can help active Brothers in different Lodge events. Any Alumni or parent can post pictures or comment as they want. New Instagram Account

There will be a new Instagram account for all stakeholders involved with Chi Psi going live in the coming weeks. The Instagram account will be a great way for alumni and parents to see pictures from Chi Psi events. It will be a great way for alumni and parents to feel connected with The Lodge.

P&E Account
The P&E account is a valuable asset to the current undergraduate Brothers. It allows us to use funds to partake in intellectual activities that will enhance the Chi Psi experience. The P&E account can be accessed at mylehigh.lehigh.edu/fraternity. We encourage alumni to continue to donate to the P&E account so we are able to have events in the future and allow future Brothers to truly experience what it means to be a Chi Psi Gentleman.

Program for Excellence
The Program for Excellence was improved at this years Mid-Year Leadership Retreat (MYLR). The Program for Excellence is a program that presents new ideas on how to improve sorority relations and improving what it means to be Chi Psi Gentlemen. It features ideas such as speed dating, pig picking, golf outing events etc. An online version of the Program for Excellence is available at: www.chipsi.org/programforexcellence.

Accreditation
Accreditation is right around the corner and our accreditation committee is preparing to put on a fine performance. This year we are striving to go above and beyond last years rating in hope to secure a gold or silver rating.

Scholarship
We will be hosting the second annual Scholarship award cocktail at the Lodge on February 15, 2014. Brothers will be awarded monetary prizes for Overall Highest GPA, Most improved GPA, Highest GPA in each college and Most improved GPA in each college. This is made possible by the P&E account at Lehigh. The P&E account can be accessed at mylehigh.lehigh.edu/fraternity. We encourage alumni to continue to donate to the P&E account so we are able to have more events like this and future Brothers can experience what it truly means to be a Chi Psi Gentleman.
